Our Doctors

Christin Chapman, DVM,
attended the University of Arizona, where she received her bachelor of science degree in Veterinary Science with a minor in Microbiology. She received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Following her graduation from Colorado State, she completed a rotating internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery with the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Rancho Santa Fe, California. She completed a one year specialized internship in veterinary ophthalmology in San Diego, California. Dr. Chapman joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Culver City, California office.

Kelli Combs, DVM,
earned her bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Throughout undergraduate and veterinary school, she was a member of the three-time National Championship OSU Varsity Women’s Equestrian Team. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a critical care and multi-specialty referral hospital in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Dr. Combs joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Pasadena and Culver City, California offices.

Tina Fife, DVM,
attended the University of Miami where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Marine Biology, before obtaining her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, Michigan and a second internship in ophthalmic pharmacology and drug discovery in Irvine, California. Dr. Fife joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Tustin and San Diego, California offices.

Stacy Ivins, DVM,
attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Animal Science. She received her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a private practice internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists near Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ivins joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas offices.

Joanna Norman, DVM,
graduated from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College with a bachelor of science degree in Biology and a bachelor of arts degree in Chemistry. Prior to veterinary school, she worked in a large equine clinical and research facility in Southern Pines, North Carolina, where she gained valuable experience in clinical research. She then received her Veterinary degree from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Norman completed a private practice rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. For two years prior to beginning her residency, she continued as a small animal and exotics general practitioner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Norman completed her residency program with Eye Care for Animals and practices at the Avondale and Phoenix, Arizona offices and in El Paso.

Nancy Park, VMD,
earned her bachelor of science degree in General Biology from Cornell University. She received her Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed a small animal general medicine and surgical internship at VCA West Los Angeles and then accepted an ophthalmology internship position with Eye Care for Animals in California and Las Vegas. Dr. Park joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Rustin Sturgeon, DVM,
earned his bachelor of science degree in Animal Science and Industry and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. After graduation, Dr. Sturgeon was in private companion animal practice for two years, and spent four years in the emergency and critical care department of a multi-specialty referral hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Sturgeon completed his residency program with Eye Care for Animals and practices at the Overland Park, Kansas office.

Amy Thompson-Hom, DVM,
attended Clark University in Worcester, MA where she received her bachelor of arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She received her Veterinary degree from the University of Illinois in 2004. She completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at Florida Veterinary Specialist in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Thompson-Hom completed her residency program with Eye Care for Animals and practices throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Our Residents

Anna-Michelle Armour, VMD,
attended Colby College in Maine, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in Biology and Performing Arts. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dr. Armour joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2008 and practices at the Tustin, California office.

Jason Clark, DVM,
received his bachelor of science degree in Biology from Birmingham-Southern College and his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent two years in a mixed animal practice, followed by four years at a small animal practice in Louisville, Kentucky. He then began two years of emergency medicine practice while participating in an ophthalmology internship with Veterinary Eye Care in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Clark joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2007 and practices in the greater Chicagoland area.

Paige Evans, DVM,
received her bachelor of science degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California prior to attending veterinary school at Ross University, where she received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, California, Dr. Evans worked in small animal general practice for four years in Los Angeles, California. She then pursued a specialty internship in ophthalmology where her time was split working in ophthalmic pharmacology and drug discovery in Irvine, California and working as an intern for the Culver City and Pasadena locations for Eye Care for Animals. Dr. Evans joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2008 and practices at the Leesburg, Virginia and Annapolis, Maryland offices.

Emily Moeller, DVM,
attended the University of California, Berkeley where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in Integrative Biology with a minor in music. She then received her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of California, Davis. She completed a private practice internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, CA. Dr. Moeller joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2008 and practices at the Tustin, California office.

Lynsey Smith, DVM,
attended Texas A&M University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Science as well as her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dr. Smith joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2007 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona and Austin and Houston, Texas offices.

Kirsten Steele, VMD,
received a double bachelor of science degree in neuroscience-behavioral Biology and in general Biology from Emory University. After completing her undergraduate education, she moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to back-country ski for a year. Dr. Steele attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with honors. Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Steele joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2008 and practices in the greater Chicagoland area.

Amy Treadwell, DVM,
received her bachelor of science degree in Biology and Animal Science from the University of Findlay and her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. After graduation, Dr. Treadwell completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Atlanta, Georgia. She then began two years of ophthalmology internship with Tennessee Veterinary Specialists in Nashville. Dr. Treadwell joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2007 and practices at the Tustin, California office.

Neal Wasserman, DVM,
graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor of arts in Biology and a minor in Psychology. He then received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. After obtaining his Veterinary degree, he completed a small animal internship at a private practice in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Dr. Wasserman joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2008 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona offices.
