Debra Agapito, DVM, obtained her bachelor of science degree in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Following graduation she completed a small animal internship in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Agapito practiced veterinary medicine for ten years, including two years in the United Kingdom. She joined the Eye Care for Animals residency program in 2003 and practices throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

Andrew Greller, VMD,
graduated from the University of Michigan, where he earned a bachelor of science in Wildlife Biology and Natural Resources/Ecology. He received his Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Next, he served as an intern in medicine and surgery at the Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. and attended the Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology, a basic science course for M.D. ophthalmology residents. He then completed a second private practice internship in veterinary ophthalmology in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Greller joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2004 and practices at the Springfield, VA office.

Heather Kaese, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Large Animal Medicine),
graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She completed an internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Canada. Following her internship, Dr. Kaese completed a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine and a Masters degree in Comparative Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Her research and practice interests include equine uveitis and companion animal corneal disease. Dr. Kaese joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2004 and practices at the Overland Park, KS office.

Amy M. Knollinger, DVM, is a 3rd generation Florida native who earned her bachelor of science degree from Florida Southern College. She then attended North Carolina State University for veterinary school and graduated with honors in 2000. Returning to her home state, she then performed a small animal rotating internship in Winter Park, Florida. After 2 years in private practice and affiliation with the University of Georgia’s ophthalmology service, Dr. Knollinger joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2004 and practices at the Salt Lake City, Utah office.

Marcella Ashton, BVSc,
obtained her BVSc from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and after registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Ashton spent twelve months working in a rural mixture of equine, farm and small animal practice in Norfolk, England. She then spent a year of post graduate training in the Equine Unit at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, England. Dr. Ashton then returned to general practice in Essex, England as a small animal veterinary clinician. After moving to the United States, she worked as a relief veterinarian in southwest Florida, she then completed an ophthalmology internship in Las Vegas, Nevada, followed by an ophthalmology clerkship at Eye Care for Animals in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Ashton joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2005, and continues to practice in Tucson, Arizona.

Christin Chapman, DVM,
attended the University of Arizona, where she received her bachelor of science degree in Veterinary Science with a minor in Microbiology. She received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Following her graduation from Colorado State, she completed a rotating internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery with the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Rancho Santa Fe, California. She completed a one year specialized internship in veterinary ophthalmology in San Diego, California. Dr. Chapman joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona offices.

Jason Clark, DVM,
received his bachelor of science degree in Biology from Birmingham-Southern College and his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent two years in a mixed animal practice, followed by four years at a small animal practice in Louisville, Kentucky. He then began two years of emergency medicine practice while participating in an ophthalmology internship with Veterinary Eye Care in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Clark joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2007 and practices in the greater Chicagoland area.

Kelli Combs, DVM,
earned her bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Throughout undergraduate and veterinary school, she was a member of the three-time National Championship OSU Varsity Women’s Equestrian Team. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a critical care and multi-specialty referral hospital in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Dr. Combs joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Pasadena and Culver City, California offices.

Matthew Fife, DVM,
earned a bachelor of science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah. He then attended the University of Florida where he received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, followed by an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Virginia Tech University. Dr. Fife joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2005 and practices at the Las Vegas, Nevada office.

Tina Fife, DVM,
attended the University of Miami where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Marine Biology, before obtaining her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, Michigan and a second internship in ophthalmic pharmacology and drug discovery in Irvine, California. Dr. Fife joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Tustin, California office.

attended Oklahoma State University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Animal Science. She received her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a private practice internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists near Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ivins joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona offices.

Joanna Norman, DVM,
graduated from St. Andrew's Presbyterian College with a bachelor of science degree in Biology and a bachelor of arts degree in Chemistry. Prior to veterinary school, she worked in a large equine clinical and research facility in Southern Pines, North Carolina, where she gained valuable experience in clinical research. She then received her Veterinary degree from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Norman completed a private practice rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. For two years prior to beginning her residency, she continued as a small animal and exotics general practitioner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Norman joined Eye Care for Animals in 2005 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona and El Paso, Texas offices.

Nancy Park, VMD,
earned her bachelor of science degree in General Biology from Cornell University. She received her Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed a small animal general medicine and surgical internship at VCA West Los Angeles and then accepted an ophthalmology internship position with Eye Care for Animals in California and Las Vegas. Dr. Park joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2006 and practices throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

attended Texas A&M University, where she earned her bachelor of science degree in Biomedical Science as well as her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Dr. Smith joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2007 and practices at the Phoenix, Arizona offices.

Rustin Sturgeon, DVM,
earned his bachelor of science degree in Animal Science and Industry and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. After graduation, Dr. Sturgeon was in private companion animal practice for two years, and spent four years in the emergency and critical care department of a multi-specialty referral hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Sturgeon joined the residency program at Eye Care for Animals in 2005 and practices at the Overland Park, Kansas office.
